So Cal Sax

Editorial rebuild for a Southern California saxophonist

So Cal Sax

Full migration off WordPress/Elementor

Resend-backed inquiries from a verified domain

The brief

Jeremy performs saxophone at weddings, corporate events, and private parties across Southern California. His old site was a static WordPress/Elementor export — slow, locked into a page builder, and the contact form went nowhere reliable.

He wanted something that looked the part of a premium live act and actually delivered inquiries to his inbox.

What I built

A full rebuild on Next.js with an editorial dark UI — bronze accents on charcoal, serif display type, and smooth scroll. Four pages (Home, Services, About, Contact), a curated performance gallery, and a hero video above the fold.

Under the hood:

  • Resend-backed contact form with a verified sending domain (DKIM + SPF + DMARC all green)
  • Structured data (MusicGroup / Person / LocalBusiness / WebSite) for better search surfacing
  • Sitemap, robots, generated OG image
  • Apex → www redirects, DNS managed on Vercel

The result

Jeremy's inquiries now land in his inbox from inquiries@socalsax.com the moment a prospect hits submit. The site loads fast on mobile, reads as a premium act, and he has none of the WordPress maintenance overhead.
